President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has reaffirmed his authority to allocate development throughout the nation.
On April 28, 2024, the president addressed supporters of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) at Ejisu, stating that he had the last word on any road-building that took place in the nation.
He was speaking at the NPP candidate’s farewell rally before the by-election brought about by the passing of John Kumah, the member of parliament for Ejisu.
He emphasized once more how crucial it is for the NPP to hold onto its slim majority in Parliament in order to facilitate his government’s operations over the past few months.
“Since he was removed, which road has he constructed?” he said addressing a former MP, Kwabena Aduomi, who has decided to contest as an independent candidate.
“I don’t say this to boast but there is no road that can be constructed in Ghana without my permission. From today till 7th of January, the government in power is an NPP government led by Akufo-Addo.
“If you need someone to catch the attention of an NPP president, we need an NPP MP,” he told the gathering.
