Prior to his highly awaited annual concert, Sarkodie, the rapper, revealed that his life experiences were the inspiration behind his new hit single.
Sarkodie dropped a track days ago that numerous people have labeled as a Christmas hit. The song highlights the necessity for young men to tailor their coats to fit their sizes.
In an interview with Joy News“No Sir” has evolved into the anthem for the streets as the holiday season approaches.
Speaking to Accra-based Joy News, Sarkodie indicated that “this is a real-life story and I think from both perspectives…I think it’s happened to me before but it wasn’t this bad. A friend of mine who came from a good family and had a car while I came from a middle-class family.
He had a space, he occupied the boys’ quarters of his house so my girl who we all know I was dating, but they linked up but then I took it to the chin and then changed from that day so I’ve not been in that position in a vary long time and I am not in the other position because I don’t peoples..you know.
This is a very relatable story, this December, people will go out with their girlfriends and might end up going back alone,” he said.
Sarkodie indicated that he has held onto the song for two years and did not want to release it, especially with the election tension but the distributors released the song and the feedback has been great.
