NO WORK DONE ON THE ASUOKOW RIVER, RESIDENTS CRY OUT TO PRESIDENT JOHN MAHAMA TO FULFIL PROMISE

Residents of Asuokow in the Eastern Region have cried out to President John Dramani Mahama to fulfil his promise of building a bridge to enable locals cross the river to their various destinations.
You would recall that in 2025, President John Mahama promised a swift intervention for residents of Asuokow, where pupils risk their lives daily to cross a river to access education.
The President made the pledge in a post on Facebook, sharing a video highlighting the challenges faced by residents.
President Mahama revealed that the community has been identified, with immediate steps underway to provide a lasting solution.
From a video footage sighted by NKONKONSA.com, the intervention by President Mahama is yet to materialize, and the state of the river poses a great risk, especially for school children who have to cross the river to attend school.
In the video, the log used to cross the river is not seen, and a resident known as Amaro Shakur alleged it has been removed and sold by some residents in the community.
