“GOD DOESN’T RESPOND TO EVERY PRAYER” – Dr. Boadi Nyamekye Reveals

Dr. Michael Boadi Nyamekye, the General Overseer of the Makers House Chapel International, has shed light on the types of prayers that receive God’s attention. Speaking during a discussion on Okay FM, Dr. Nyamekye highlighted that while God is omnipresent and hears all prayers, He does not necessarily respond to every one of them.

The respected clergyman, known for his profound scriptural knowledge, explained that the effectiveness of prayer depends on its alignment with God’s will and its presentation in the name of Jesus Christ.

“God does not respond to every prayer. It’s not about the location or how loud you pray; what matters is whether your prayer is in line with His will,” he emphasized. Dr. Nyamekye underscored that understanding and submitting to God’s will is central to having prayers answered.

He also outlined certain prayers that are contrary to God’s nature and, therefore, go unanswered. “If you pray to harm others, seek vengeance, or ask God to take away someone so you can benefit from their possessions, such prayers will not be honored. God is love, and He does not respond to prayers rooted in malice or selfishness,” he explained.

Dr. Nyamekye further cautioned against prayers motivated by personal gain at the expense of others. He illustrated this with an example: “Imagine praying for another person’s business to fail so yours can succeed. That’s not a prayer God will honor, as it contradicts His will and character.”

The discussion also addressed common misconceptions about prayer. Dr. Nyamekye encouraged believers to reflect on their motives when praying, ensuring their petitions align with biblical principles.

He emphasized the power and authority of praying in Jesus’ name, which serves as the mediator between humanity and God. “In the name of Jesus, every prayer is made perfect,” he noted, urging Christians to rely on the teachings of Christ when approaching God in prayer.

Dr. Nyamekye’s teachings serve as a reminder for believers to approach prayer with sincerity, love, and a heart aligned with God’s divine purpose, ensuring their requests are in harmony with His will.
