NPP’S PATRICK BOAKYE YIADOM DECLARED MP-ELECT FOR OBUASI EAST

The New Patriotic Party (NPP) Parliamentary Candidate for Obuasi East, Patrick Boakye Yiadom, has been declared the winner of the parliamentary seat following the re-collation on Saturday, December 21.

Mr. Boakye Yiadom received 18,558 votes, narrowly defeating his closest contender from the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Samuel Aboagye, who garnered 18,549 votes. Independent candidate Adjei Owusu secured 424 votes.

This declaration comes after the High Court directed the Electoral Commission (EC) to re-collate and declare the results for several constituencies, including Ablekuma North and Nsawam-Adoagyiri, despite previous results having been announced.
