Pastor Hammond Love, the leader of Action Grace Chapel and former spouse of gospel singer Obaapa Christy, has allegedly been given a four-year prison sentence.
NKONKONSA,com gathered that Pastor Love was sentenced in a 2016 fraud case involving Samuel Amankwaah.
A report from Angel FM stated that Samuel Amankwaah, residing in the US, sent a car and requested Pastor Love to handle its clearance at the port.
After a period of time, the pastor had still not managed to sell the car, so Amankwaah suggested that he postpone the sale and wait for his return to Ghana in April 2016. After Amankwaah returned to Ghana, he promptly repaid Pastor Love’s money. However, Pastor Love declined to give back the car, claiming that he had already sold it.
Amankwaah was curious about why his friend sold the car but still asked for money, so he went to the police. The case has been pending at a Circuit Court in Accra since 2017.
The report states that Pastor Love claimed the previous judge did not label him a ‘fraudster’, but the judge did not listen and gave a verdict.
