ONE WEEK CELEBRATION OF LATE K.K. KABOBO SET FOR APRIL 20

The forthcoming one-week commemoration of the late Highlife maestro, Kwabena Kwakye Kabobo, widely known as K. K. Kabobo, has been slated for Saturday, April 20, 2024.

This significant event will be hosted at the Police Depot Social Centre in Tesano, Accra, as a tribute to the veteran musician.

K. K. Kabobo sadly passed away on Thursday, March 14, 2024, following a battle with liver disease.

His passing occurred at the University of Ghana Medical Center (UGMC), where he arrived but could not be saved.The news of his illness had gained public attention a few weeks prior, prompting support from notable figures such as former President John Mahama, Samira Bawumia, Wendy Shay, and the Ghana Music Rights Organisation (GHAMRO), among others.

The late musician is survived by 16 children, leaving behind a legacy that continues to resonate within Ghana’s music community.
