ORCA DECO GHANA ANNOUNCES 15% PRICE REDUCTION IN RESPONSE TO STRONGER CEDI
Orca Deco Ghana has announced a substantial 15% price reduction across all products, effective from Monday, May 12, 2025. This price drop directly follows the recent impressive recovery of the Ghanaian Cedi against the US dollar.
Sales & Marketing Manager at Orca Deco Ghana, Jihan Kudsy, explained the motivation behind this significant decision, stating, “At Orca Deco Ghana, we firmly believe in fairness and standing by our customers, especially after the considerable economic challenges of recent years. That’s why we’re thrilled to implement this 15% price reduction.”
The move is directly tied to the cedi’s remarkable recovery, which Bloomberg recently highlighted as making it the “best-performing currency in the world,” appreciating by 16% against the dollar by May 8, 2025.
Ms. Kudsy emphasized Orca Deco’s commitment to consumers, highlighting how the company has chosen to pass on the benefits of the stronger cedi directly to its customers. She noted this initiative aligns closely with recent calls by Ghana’s Finance Minister, Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson, urging businesses to adjust pricing to reflect the cedi’s improved performance.
“Our goal is to ease financial pressure, protect our customers’ purchasing power, and support Ghana’s economic recovery efforts,” Kudsy added.
Orca Deco reassured customers that the price reduction would not compromise product quality and invited all Ghanaians to visit their showrooms nationwide to enjoy more affordable prices on their favorite home décor products.
“We thank our customers for their continued trust and loyalty during challenging economic times,” concluded Kudsy. “We are excited to welcome everyone to experience quality products at newly reduced prices.”
