OSP SEIZES LUXURY VEHICLES, JEWELLERY, WEAPONS FROM DR. SLEDGE’S TRASSACO RESIDENCE AFTER SEARCH
The asset recovery team conducted court-approved searches as part of an investigation into suspected corruption linked to a $94 million loss in the MIIF gold trade programme.

The Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP) has seized multiple luxury vehicles, jewellery, weapons, and documents related to landed properties from the Trassaco residence of Nana Yaw Duodu, CEO of Goldridge Company Limited, popularly known as Dr. Sledge.
The OSP executed the search on Wednesday, October 29, 2025, under warrants issued by the High Court in Accra, as part of an ongoing investigation into suspected corruption and corruption-related offenses involving the Minerals Income Investment Fund (MIIF) gold trade programme.
According to the OSP’s official X account, the operation also extended to the company’s East Legon offices. The investigation focuses on allegations that the MIIF gold trade programme caused a financial loss of $94 million to the state.
Dr. Sledge was initially arrested by the OSP for questioning in September 2025. He was detained after failing to meet bail conditions but was later released. The latest seizures represent a significant escalation in the OSP’s asset recovery efforts related to this case.
The items confiscated will be held as part of the continuing investigation into what the OSP describes as one of the most substantial corruption cases currently under its purview.
