OTTO ADDO ACCEPTS RESPONSIBILITY FOR BLACK STARS’ POOR PERFORMANCE – GFA

Otto Addo, the Head Coach of the Black Stars, has assumed full blame for the team’s recent disappointing results and recognized weaknesses in important areas of the squad, as reported by the Ghana Football Association.

On Wednesday, Otto Addo was called upon to present a thorough report to the Executive Council following the Black Stars’ inability to qualify for AFCON.

As per the Ghana FA, the head coach offered a detailed 56-page technical report that was discussed by the Executive council and regional chairmen of the Football Association, to which the head coach replied.

In a statement issued on Friday, the Ghana FA revealed that Addo discussed strategies to tackle these issues, stressing the importance of a structured and responsible system that encourages confidence among team members.

The statement went on to say, “Addo also highlighted the importance of establishing a clear and recognizable playing philosophy moving forward.

“The Executive Council of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) and Regional Football Chairmen, shared the nation’s disappointment with Addo.

“They echoed the widespread desire for the Black Stars to deliver better results, particularly in the upcoming World Cup qualifying matches.

“Addo was informed that the GFA plans to engage in further consultations with key stakeholders to develop a comprehensive strategy for the national team. This approach aims to create a sustainable path to success for the Black Stars.”
