John Dramani Mahama has claimed that the original owner of DKM is financing Dr Mahamudu Bawumia’s campaign.
Prior to the 2016 election, there were allegations of DKM, an investment firm, scamming investors.
The New Patriotic Party (NPP), then in opposition, held John Dramani Mahama and his wife responsible for the suffering of Ghanaians who had put their money into the company.
The focus during that time was on the claim that John Dramani Mahama and his wife, Lordina Mahama, had ownership stakes in the firm.
However, when addressing the people of Nkoranza in Ghana, John Dramani Mahama mentioned that Ambrose Dery has verified that the creator of DKM is part of the NPP and a supporter of Dr Mahamudu Bawumia’s election bid.
”In 2016, during my presidency, the NPP MPs and party leadership falsely accused my wife Lordina and me of being associated with the leader of DKM microfinance, which defrauded investors of their money.
