Sports journalist, Saddick Adams disclosed troubling information about the missing Paralympic team in Norway.
He exposed the fake Paralympic team as impostors pretending to be part of the real team, who somehow made it to Norway with the intention of running away.
Mr Adams, who has a thorough understanding of the team’s operations, also mentioned that there are approximately five fraudulent paralympic teams.
“First of all, the team in Norway is a FAKE Ghana Para Team. The names being mentioned as leaders are past executives of the committee.
“There are about five different teams calling themselves Ghana Para Team despite not being recognized by the government.
“Having worked as a member of LOC for the first Africa Para Games in Accra, I got an insight into the stark divisions and under dealings by especially some former executives of the Paralympic Committee,” he revealed in a social media post.
He suggested that fake teams are constantly present, ready to take away travel opportunities from genuine para teams, recalling an incident where a fake amputee was prevented from travelling before the real team.
“When the original Ghana Amputee Team Football was preparing for the just ended Amputee AFCON in Egypt, there was also another team training for that same tournament.
“It had to take a court order to stop the fake team from emplaning to Egypt ahead of the official team.
“At the moment, athletes of the official Ghana Paralympic Team who have qualified for the upcoming Paralympic Games in Paris, are already in France for their pre-competition camping,” he added.
Reports of Ghana’s paralympic team disappearing upon arrival in Oslo, Norway are circulating. However, Mr. Addams claimed that it is an illegitimate team.
