The Ghana Police Service has lauded the New Patriotic Party (NPP), the National Democratic Congress (NDC), and their supporters for their cooperation, which ensured the peaceful conclusion of their final rallies held in Accra on December 5, 2024.

In a press statement, the Police expressed gratitude to the public, especially motorists, for their patience and understanding during road diversions and traffic management measures that were put in place for the events.

The leadership of the Police Administration also acknowledged the dedication and professionalism displayed by officers deployed to maintain law, order, and peace throughout the rallies.

With the nation heading to the polls on December 7, 2024, the Police urged political parties, their supporters, and all stakeholders to uphold the same discipline, unity, and patriotism demonstrated during the rallies to ensure a peaceful election.

The statement further reaffirmed the Police Service’s commitment to maintaining a safe, peaceful, and orderly electoral process.

As Ghana prepares for the critical elections, the call for calm and cooperation from all quarters reinforces the country’s reputation for conducting peaceful democratic processes.
