POLICE STORM HOME OF FORMER NPP YOUTH ORGANISER IN SEARCH OF ABRONYE

Moses Abor, a former Greater Accra Regional Youth Organiser of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), described the armed police officers’ Sunday, September 7, 2025, raid on his home as an unexpected and unnerving event.
About 16 security people were involved in the event, which happened at 2:17 p.m., and they arrived on motorbikes and in three Tundra cars.
The cops said they were acting on information that he was harboring Kwame Baffoe, also known as Abronye, the Bono Regional Chairman of the NPP, according to Mr. Abor.
He clarified that the raid was unexpected because, despite their friendly connection, he hadn’t seen Abronye in more than a year.
Mr. Abor said that the crew conducted a comprehensive search of his house, including his garden and the property next door, in an interview with Dwaso Nsem of Adom FM.

“They stormed my house in a Rambo-style operation, even insisting that a car parked in my compound belonged to Abronye, which I denied because it was mine,” he said.
Mr. Abor claimed that his family was shaken by the raid, despite the fact that no goods were taken and no residents were physically assaulted.
“I and the children couldn’t sleep in the house yesterday. I am even considering getting someone to examine the house to ensure nothing was done or planted there. I am also yet to talk to my lawyer about the incident,” he added.
He bemoaned the Ghana Police Service, pointing out that no representative has apologized for the incident.
A formal statement regarding the raid has not yet been released by the authorities.
