A leading member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Gabby Asare Otchere-Darko says he hopes business people in Africa will just remain business people and not be tagged with a political party.
According to him, political tagging is destroying several businesses and stifling the growth of Africa.
Gabby Asare Otchere-Darko who made this known in a post shared via social media said businesses just want to succeed and create employment for especially the teeming youth who are graduating from various schools.
His post read “I yearn for the day when business people will just be business people. And, will not be treated with party political brush. Not NKP business man or DCP business man. They just want their business to succeed and create jobs. The tagging destroys. It stifles growth in Africa”.
In Ghana, some businesses always have to fold up after there is a change of government because they are tagged as proponents of a particular political tradition.
It has always been the case that businesses in Ghana have had to play smart and have affection for especially the two leading political parties in order to survive the tide.
