Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party, has shed light on the importance of maintaining peace in Ghana ahead of the December elections.
Dr. Bawumia has been touring the country since April 29 and has urged the people of Ghana to abstain from any words or deeds that can endanger the peace in the country. He underlined that because Ghana is a varied country, we need accept one another’s opinions.
Dr. Bawumia also advised politicians not to incite their supporters against others, stressing that the country should not see the impending election as a “do-or-die” affair.
“As politicians, we will come and go, but the country Ghana will remain. So let us unite in peace and continue to respect our diversity. We are Ghanaians first, before our political party,” he said.
