President Akufo-Addo has urged the Christian Council and the religious community in the nation to come together in prayer for the well-being of the country.
The President also called upon the Council to pray for increased understanding among the people, emphasizing that not every elected leader should be labelled as corrupt.
In his view, such prayers are essential to provide hope to those who can recognize the integrity of their leaders.
President Akufo-Addo made this plea during a meeting with the new Chairman of the Christian Council, Right Rev. Dr. Hilliad Della Dogbe, and his delegation at the Jubilee House.
He expressed his disappointment with the negative perceptions of leadership, highlighting that some of them might have thrived in the private sector.
The President also reassured the public that there are anti-corruption institutions and agencies in place to hold the government accountable.
Right Rev. Dogbe, in response, pledged the Christian community’s readiness to pray for divine guidance and the protection of the nation.
