‘PRAY FOR GOVERNMENT AS WE REMAIN COMMITTED TO DELIVERING ON OUR MANDATE’ – Interior Minister

The Interior Minister Aljahi Mohammed Muntaka Mubaraka has appealed to Ghanaians to pray for the government as it fulfils its mandate given to it by the people of Ghana in last year’s elections.
He made the point that the government is determined to advance the development of Ghaha with its programmes and policies.
Muntakam-Mubaraka said this when he, earlier on Sunday, December 14, in the company of the Municipal Chief Executive for the Asokore Mampong Municipal Assembly and other distinguished government officials, joined the Ashanti Regional Gonja Community Chief and the revered Gonja Queen Mothers at the annual Damba Festival celebrations.
The event was held under the theme “Maintaining Peace and Preserving Tradition for Community Development: The Role of Chiefs and Queen Mothers.”
The Minister conveyed his warm greetings and the goodwill message of President John Dramani Mahama to the Gonja community.
He also called on the chiefs, queen mothers, and the entire Gonja people to continue to uphold peace, unity, and harmony as indispensable pillars of progress and development.
“I further took the opportunity to highlight key government interventions and policies aimed at improving the welfare of our people and strengthening national cohesion,” he wrote on Facebook after the event.
“I concluded by appealing to all present to continue to offer prayers for the government, as it remains committed to faithfully delivering on its mandate for the advancement of our nation,” the Asawase lawmaker added.
