PRESIDENT MAHAMA ORDERS INVESTIGATION INTO 2020 AND 2024 ELECTION DEATHS

President John Dramani Mahama has reportedly directed his Executive Secretary to formally write to IGP to initiate immediate investigations into the deaths that occurred during the 2020 and 2024 elections

The President highlighted that the victims’ families are entitled to closure and justice for their deceased relatives. Human rights organizations have praised the action, calling on authorities to accelerate the inquiry.

In the meantime, the public is optimistic that this initiative will bring about changes in election security protocols.

The government’s position indicates a reinvigorated commitment to promote peace and uphold the integrity of democratic procedures in Ghana.
