PRESIDENT MAHAMA SUSPENDS ACTIVITIES FOLLOWING LOSS OF 8 LIVES IN HELICOPTER CRASH

President John Dramani Mahama has called off all official engagements for the rest of the week after a tragic helicopter crash claimed eight lives.
A three-day national mourning begins Thursday, August 7, 2025. All flags are to fly at half-mast.
The tragic incident claimed the lives of several high-profile government officials and military personnel, including Defence Minister Dr. Edward Omane Boamah, Environment Minister Dr. Ibrahim Murtala Mohammed, and Acting Deputy National Security Coordinator Alhaji Limuna Muniru Mohammed.
