PRESIDENTIAL JET RETURNS TO GHANA AFTER EIGHT-MONTH OVERHAUL IN FRANCE

Bright Simons, the Vice-President of IMANI Africa, has revealed that Ghana’s presidential Falcon Jet was returned to the Ghana Air Force following an extended eight-month maintenance and repair program in France.

After being sent to the Dassault Falcon Service MRO facility at Paris Le Bourget (PLB) for a required 24-month and 1,600-hour technical check, he stated in a post on X that the aircraft was safely returned on Monday, November 10.

Mr. Simons clarified that during the examination, engineers at the PLB facility found serious flaws, such as problems with the fuel tank and one of the jet’s turbofans.

Since Monday, November 10, Ghana’s presidential jet has been safely returned to the Ghana Air Force.

Exactly 8 months after it was sent to the Dassault Falcon Service MRO base at Paris Le Bourget (PLB).

Because the repairs could only be made at that particular Dassault-approved location, these flaws necessitated manufacturer-level involvement and extended the maintenance cycle.

He continued by saying that difficulties locating some OEM-certified replacement parts added to the delay.

The aircraft has now been cleared for operation by Dassault Falcon operation after successfully completing all intricate repair procedures, including as leak assessments, engine ground runs, and acceptance flights.

According to Bright Simons, the aircraft made a quick positioning flight from Marseille to take care of some minor logistical procedures before returning to Accra.
