Prophet Ogyaba has assured the public that his wife remains unwaveringly by his side despite the controversy surrounding his alleged extramarital affair. According to him, while critics have scrutinized his actions, his wife has been his pillar of support, dismissing the allegations made by his former mistress, Cassie.
Addressing the situation in a TikTok live session, Ogyaba revealed that his wife found humor in Cassie’s public outcry. “When my wife saw the videos from the girl, she called her childish,” he stated. “She said instead of Cassie staying quiet and enjoying her position as a side chick, she wanted to overtake her and be promoted to wife. We laughed about it, and that was the end of our discussion.” He later shared a video of himself and his wife in a car, affectionately referring to her as “First Lady.”
Cassie’s allegations
Cassie, a lead chorister at Ogyaba’s church, took to social media with claims of neglect, threats, and an attempt to expose their affair, which allegedly included a pregnancy. She backed her allegations with audios and videos, aiming to gain public sympathy and paint herself as the victim.
Ogyaba’s response
Prophet Ogyaba admitted to the affair but maintained that he, like anyone else, is prone to mistakes. He claimed the relationship turned sour when Cassie insisted she was pregnant with twins, became financially demanding, and attempted to move into his home.
He disclosed that he spent millions on her, including GH¢60,000 for rent and GH¢20,000 for furnishings, as his wife was due to return home. He also refuted Cassie’s claim that she lived with him for four months, stating it was only one month.
After Cassie moved out, she allegedly requested money for medical expenses related to fibroids and a pregnancy pillow, raising Ogyaba’s suspicions. He later issued her a cease-and-desist letter, and her uncle later claimed she had lost the pregnancy due to a fall. Ogyaba, however, believes the entire situation is an act of blackmail.
The prophet urged the public not to judge him harshly, emphasizing that despite being a man of God, he remains human and fallible.
