Okomfo Kolege, also known as Collins Oteng, a Kumawood actor, has cautioned Portia Asare, another actress, to consider stopping acting for her personal safety.
This happened following Asare’s allegations that certain coworkers were practising juju against her.
She stated that the Ghanaian Kumawood film industry is characterized by animosity and jealousy, alleging that coworkers she relied on attempted to harm her.
During an interview with blogger Poleeno Entertainment, Okomfo Kolege advised that if she thinks her acting career is causing the attacks, she should think about quitting the industry.
“If you believe you are being targeted because of your acting career, then please stop acting. Find something else to do,” he advised.
He observed that Asare may have been lucky to escape the initial attacks, but speaking out may lead to more assassination attempts if she resumes acting.
“I love you that is why I’m saying this. Maybe you were lucky to have survived when you were targeted the first time. But now that you have come out to talk, if you decide to come back, they will make sure they succeed so you won’t talk again.
“So, please, for your own safety, stay away,” he cautioned.
