UK-based Ghanaian singer, Sonnie Badu has attributed the lack of sponsorship for gospel events in Ghana to demons.
Speaking about challenges he encountered ahead of his event dubbed ‘Rhythms of Africa’, the gospel singer lamented about the lack of sponsorship.
In an interview, Sonnie Badu stated that he does not understand why organizations are not willing to sponsor gospel events.
He fumed “We hardly got sponsors for my event and I don’t understand why when it comes to gospel music alone people don’t want to do it.
“Meanwhile those who come will raise their hands be crying at the event so I don’t understand maybe it’s a demon that’s worrying us”.
Sonnie Badu made a lot of headlines at the event when he was seen performing without clutches after initially revealing that he was involved in a domestic accident.
Patrons revealed that soon after his performance on the night of December 9, 2023, he went back to the clutches leaving them in shock as to whether the whole incident accident story was not just for hype.
