REGISTRATION OPENS FOR 2026/2027 NATIONAL SERVICE YEAR FOR NURSES AND MIDWIVES
Eligible graduates given until January 23 to complete online enrolment

The National Service Authority (NSA) has opened the online registration portal for the 2026/2027 national service year for nurses and midwives, with a deadline set for Thursday, January 23, 2026.
In a statement issued on January 19, the Director General of the Authority, Ms Ruth Dela Seddoh, confirmed that Personal Identification Number (PIN) codes had been released for 6,867 eligible applicants who completed their training in 2025 and are required to undertake national service.
The registration window offers a four-day period for eligible candidates to complete their enrolment. Those qualified include nurses and midwives who passed the March and April 2025 Licensing Examinations, commonly referred to as the “minor season”, conducted by the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Ghana.
To register, applicants must first pay a GH¢41.00 registration fee via Mobile Money on any network. After payment, they can access the enrolment portal at https://gnsa.gov.gh/home, where they are required to retrieve their PIN codes using their student ID numbers and date of birth.
The Nursing and Midwifery Council submitted the list of qualified personnel to the NSA on January 16, 2026.
Ms Seddoh urged all prospective service personnel to adhere strictly to the registration schedule and complete the process on time.
The enrolment is part of preparations for the deployment of newly trained health professionals under Ghana’s national service scheme, which mandates a one-year service period for graduates across various sectors.
