President John Mahama has appointed Yaw Ampofo Ankrah, a renowned sports journalist, as the new Director General of Ghana’s National Sports Authority (NSA). This marks the first time a journalist with extensive experience in sports development has been appointed to lead the NSA.
Yaw Ampofo Ankrah is globally recognized for his contributions to sports, particularly for elevating beach soccer in Ghana to the international stage.
