Skrewfaze, whose real name is Jehoshaphat Eshun, has expressed deep concern about the contamination of the nation’s water bodies caused by illegal mining activities known as galamsey.
“Check our water bodies and it’s messed up and so I keep asking myself is this the Ghana Kwame Nkrumah left for us, all because of greediness,” he bemoaned on Cape Coast’s Property FM.
The experienced Hiplife musician stated that the public holds the government responsible for the declining water sources, so citizens and individuals should also be accountable.
“Sometimes inasmuch as we keep blaming the government, we need to also blame ourselves because we’ll be complaining about galamsey destroying our water bodies”. He stated.
Skrewfaze pointed out that the individuals protesting and displaying signs against illegal mining will ultimately support the very individuals they are criticizing during elections.
