Rapper Sarkodie’s statements about their collaboration on the album “Jamz” have been verified by sensational rising musician Black Sherif.
Sarkodie has released his eagerly anticipated album Jamz. However, some online users believed that Sarkodie included Black Sherif and Cina Soul for trends.
Sarkodie revealed about a month ago in an interview with 3Muisc Daily that, in contrast to what some Ghanaians have rumored, he doesn’t approach musicians about collaborating; instead, they approach him about appearing on their songs.
“Most of these records you hear me on that you think I’m jumping on somebody’s record, I never reach out to these people,” he stunned the 3Music Daily TV crew.
“If I want to do a song, it’s rare I’ll think, ‘Oh, this boy is the new hottest artiste I want to put him on’.
Sarkodie further added, “Big shouts to my superstar Blacko,” he said. “Blacko hit me up, last minute of this project: ‘Landlord, I have to be on ‘Jamz”. I said, ‘Pull up’.
Black Sherif revealed details about his cooperation with the rapper in a conversation with London-based Nigerian media personality Adesope Olajide, confirming what Sarkodie had before said.
He recounted how he reached out to Sarkodie after he shared his album flyer. “Sark had posted the flyer of the album. So I hit him up like: ‘Landlord, no, this album I have to be on it before it comes out’,” he said.
“We made songs, like three songs,” he gestured to the figure with his fingers. “‘Countryside’ was one of them.”
