“SARKODIE YOU ARE A FEARO, YOU CAN DISS MAHAMA BUT CAN’T DISS AKUFO ADDO” – DKB

Famed Ghanaian comedian, Derick Kobina Bonney, widely known as DKB, has taken a critical stance against Sarkodie, accusing him of hypocrisy in his approach to President Nana Akufo-Addo’s rule.

DKB argues that despite Sarkodie’s reputation as a hardcore battle rapper and a political critic, he seems reluctant to criticize the current government in a meaningful manner.

DKB’s primary critique revolves around Sarkodie’s alleged hesitance to enter the recording studio and produce a diss track targeting President Nana Akufo-Addo, as he did during former President Mahama’s era.

It’s important to note that Sarkodie is renowned for his lyrical prowess and has not shied away from engaging in public disputes through his music. However, DKB contends that Sarkodie has conspicuously remained silent when it comes to President Nana Akufo-Addo.

DKB’s accusation of hypocrisy raises significant questions about the role of artists and celebrities in addressing political and social issues. While Sarkodie has used his music to express his opinions and critique various aspects of Ghanaian society, DKB suggests that his reluctance to criticize the current government implies a double standard.
