Ghana’s entertainment scene, rapper Pope Skinny has made explosive claims about legendary musician Okomfour Kwadee’s past relationship with Akosua Puni, the wife of former Black Stars midfielder Michael Essien. Contrary to some assumptions, Pope Skinny clarified that Kwadee confided in him about the romance, which allegedly caused significant turmoil due to the difference in their social statuses.
Pope Skinny further alleged that Kwadee suspects he may have fathered a child with Akosua Puni during their relationship, a secret she has reportedly kept from him. “Kwadee told me that Puni got pregnant around that time, and he believes he has a child with her that she hasn’t revealed,” Pope Skinny claimed.

However, in 2022, Kwadee’s mother revealed that he had been abandoned at the facility, pleading with the public for support to help her son recover.
In 2024, a video surfaced showing a frail-looking Kwadee drinking pito, a local alcoholic beverage, and freestyling among friends. The footage sparked widespread concern about his health and well-being, with fans calling for urgent intervention.
