Ghanaian media personality, Serwaa Amihere has taken legal action against persons involved in the circulation of private images of her on the internet.
In a writ of summons by the legal team of Serwaa Amihere, it stated clearly what they are suing for as it revealed that the statement of offence was the conspiracy to commit a crime namely non-consensual sharing of an intimate image contrary to section 23 (1) of the Criminal Offences Act 1960 (ACT 29) and Section 67 (1)(2) of Cybersecurity Act 2020 Act 1038.
They accused persons namely Edem Savior Ketti, Filmmaker CandyLove Kwakyewaa Ababio, and trader Henry Amponsah aka Henry Fitz of acting together with a common purpose to commit a crime namely Non-Consensual Sharing of Intimate Image.
Also, they claimed the persons mentioned above did intentionally distribute prohibited visual recordings of one Serwaa Amihere without her consent on social media handles.
Serwaa Amihere became the topic of conversations on social media following the emergence of an alleged bedroom sex video.
The video purportedly depicts a woman, believed to be Serwaa, in a compromising situation with a man allegedly identified as Henry Fitz, described as a wealthy businessman.
The viral video has since sparked widespread conversations, prompting questions regarding its authenticity and the circumstances of its release.
