SHATTA WALE PAYS TRIBUTE TO LATE CHRISTIAN ATSU

Ghanaian dancehall artist Shatta Wale has disclosed why late Black Stars winger Christian Atsu has not yet been the subject of his song despite their closeness.

Shatta Wale claims that the loss of Christian Atsu has greatly impacted him and has interfered with his capacity to write and create a song in his memory.

He admitted that despite their friendship not being as close as it was with Asamoah Gyan, Christian Atsu had worked hard to succeed in life, and he had always been proud of him.

“I have heard people ask why I haven’t done a song for Christian Atsu as I have done in the past. I know I have done songs to honour some personalities in the past including the late Major Mahama.”

“I haven’t been able to do it for Atsu because his death has hit me so sad and it has affected my ability to write a song for him,” Shatta Wale said.

In addition, he chastised the media for not highlighting Christian Atsu’s charitable activities and good deeds while he was still living.

“God will punish you media people for waiting for him to die before making Ghanaians known the good deeds that he was doing. All the charity works he did, you couldn’t talk about it but now doing it because he is dead,” Shatta Wale ended.
