‘SHE SAID THE BITTER TRUTH’ – Shatta Wale Defends Asantewaa on TikTok Music Promotion

Controversial Regga and Dancehall singer, Shatta Wale has come to the defense of Tiktok star, Asantewaa over her assertion that musicians would struggle to promote their tracks without TikTok influencers is untrue.

Days after Asantewaa made this claim, the singer of “On God” stated it in a tweet.

The TikTok celebrity claimed on UTV’s United Showbiz that only TikTokers are responsible for songs becoming viral in the nation.

“I have always maintained that it doesn’t matter how long you have played your music game. When you make that song, it is not about your craft, you need to get us on board before it can blow. If not, you will be the only person singing the song… We make the song trend,” she said on Saturday, June 18.

After the backlash, Asantewaa replied to her critics in an interview on Pulse One on One on June 21.

“I think people are misquoting me, I was there with Wesley Kesse, and Jacqueline Mensah, if you watch the video, we were all having fun.

“You guys know we were all having fun, people don’t even understand the fact that a lot goes into writing music, I am not a musician, I cannot sing so if I am talking about promotion, I am not saying you are not a musician,” she said.
