Given that the Bible mentions married men dating side chicks, Gospel musician Gifty Adorye, popularly called Empress Gifty has advised ladies who date married men to keep dating them.
She contended that a comparable relationship between Hagar and Ishmael was sanctioned by God in the Bible, and for that reason, she did not consider a woman dating a married man to be sinful.
She continued by saying that although she supports the behavior, women involved should avoid becoming pregnant for married men as they would end their relationships and remain faithful to their wives.
EmpressGifty stated in an interview with TV3’s New Day program monitored by Ghanaweb that women who date married men often do it as a result of personal struggles.
“I said if you are a side chick, don’t get pregnant for somebody’s husband, but you can be with the person. You can read the story about Abraham, Hagar and Ishmael in the Bible. Side chick did not start recently, its been there since. My concern is that don’t get pregnant for somebody’s husband because he would break up you with you.
“Those things happen due to circumstances. The women who date married men is because of hardship and financial difficulties so they do it for support,” she said.
