Popular Dancehall and Afrobeat musician, Charles Nii Armah Mensah known in showbiz as Shatta Wale has responded to the president’s viral economic crisis speech statement.
The president of the republic, Nana Addo, spoke to the nation about the economic difficulties and the depreciation of the cedi against the dollar in the late hours of yesterday.
In Akufo Addo’s speech, he implored the people not to moan too much about the depreciation of the cedi.
In order to buttress his point, Akufo Addo said, “Fellow Ghanaians, as the French would say, l’argent n’aime pas le bruit, to wit, money does not like noise, sika mpɛ dede.”
“Where there is chaos, where there is noise, where there is unrest, you will not find the money. If you talk down your money, it will go down. If you allow some unidentifiable person to talk down your money, it will go down,” he stressed.
Reacting to the new quote from the president, Shatta Wale took to his Twitter page to tweet, “Sika mp3 dede, I for feature this man la ????????????????”.
