‘SOME MEN DON’T GO TO CHURCH BECAUSE OF HOW THEIR WIVES TREAT THEIR PASTORS’ – Rev. Eastwood Anaba

Reverend Eastwood Anaba, head of Eastwood Anaba Ministries and founder of Fountain Gate Chapel, has tackled an issue that could clarify why some men hesitate to attend church.

In his sermon last Sunday, he disclosed that some husbands perceive themselves as overshadowed by how their wives interact with their pastors in contrast to their treatment at home.

Reverend Anaba notes that numerous wives exhibit remarkable admiration and respect for their pastors, frequently demonstrating significant humility and reverence.

He noted how these women greet their pastors with phrases like, “Oh Daddy, good morning. Daddy, praise the Lord. Daddy, I miss you. Here’s a seed,” acting almost as if they’ve encountered God himself.

Conversely, these same women frequently do not show similar love or concern towards their husbands. Reverend Anaba emphasized the annoyance this can lead to,

“The man notices that this morning, his wife didn’t say ‘I miss you,’ even though he just returned from a trip. She didn’t offer him food. But the moment she sees her pastor, it’s like the anointing suddenly falls on her.”

He elaborated that this unfair treatment fosters a competitive atmosphere between husbands and pastors, causing some men to feel undervalued and occasionally bitter.

Reverend Anaba highlighted that this conduct not only puts pressure on marriages but also encourages resentment towards pastors, complicating participation in church activities for some men.
