A leading member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Nana Akomea revealed that certain polling organizations in Ghana reached out to the NPP for assistance in conducting their surveys.
He states that the party refused to fund them.
Nana Akomea, speaking on Gh One Television in Accra, remarked that, in light of previous circumstances, they do not have faith in several polls.
Nevertheless, they accept the results in good spirit and strive diligently irrespective of the results of the various polls conducted in the nation.
“These polls I can tell you some of these people running around and saying they are doing credible polls, some of them cam to NPP that we should finance them and we said no. They came looking for funding.
A party like the NPP and the NDC have their own polling. Our monthly polls tell us about changes in perception. Our polls are not negative. Anybody who does a poll and tells us we are not doing well, we double our steps. If it tells us we are doing well, it helps us to work extra hard. So for us in the NPP, no matter the polls it encourages us,” he said.
