BISHOP SALIFU AMOAKO’S SON REMANDED AGAIN BY ACCRA JUVENILE COURT OVER FATAL EAST LEGON ACCIDENT

Elrad Amoako, the 16-year-old son of Archbishop Salifu Amoako, founder of Alive Chapel International, has been remanded once more following his recent appearance before the Accra Juvenile Court. This development comes after his involvement in a tragic car accident that occurred on October 12, 2024, in East Legon, Accra.

According to reports from GHOne TV, the court has scheduled Elrad’s next hearing for November 13, 2024. During initial proceedings on November 1, the court laid out specific conditions for his custody, including the surrender of his Ghanaian and U.S. passports by November 4. Elrad was also instructed to undergo a medical examination at the University of Ghana Medical Centre (UGMC) on the same date.

The court additionally mandated provisions for Elrad’s urgent medical care, stating that he should be transferred to the Police Hospital if any health complications arise during his time in custody.

Background of the Incident

The incident in question took place when Elrad Amoako, driving a Jaguar SUV with the registration number GN 7801-20, lost control of the vehicle and collided with a 4×4 Acura SUV, registered GR 2542-23. The impact caused both vehicles to catch fire, resulting in the tragic deaths of two young women, Justine Agbenu and Maame Dwomoh, who were occupants of the Acura.

Since then, the case has garnered significant public attention, and many are awaiting further updates as the court continues its deliberations.
