STONEBWOY FIRES SHOTS AT INDUSTRY ‘FAKERY,’ COMMENTS ON SHATTA WALE’S LAMBORGHINI SAGA

Award-winning Ghanaian dancehall artist Stonebwoy has stirred fresh controversy after taking aim at what he describes as “industry fakery” while indirectly referencing fellow musician Shatta Wale’s troubles with the Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO) over an alleged stolen Lamborghini.
In a video sighted by Nkonkonsa.com, Stonebwoy addressed the culture of hype and pretence in the music industry, stressing that some public displays are “just settings” a Ghanaian slang for staged or fabricated situations.
“If some of the things I know were known by some other people on the other side, I wouldn’t sleep. I would lose my head over a car. They wouldn’t shut up,” Stonebwoy said.
The “Therapy” hitmaker explained that “settings” refers to packaging something to look real when it is not. He linked this to how some industry players thrive on fake appearances, noting, “People say fake, they’re faking it the cappers. We know the industry and we know how it’s set.”
While he did not name Shatta Wale directly, his remarks appeared to echo recent online discussions around the SM boss’s alleged luxury car issues. Stonebwoy maintained that he focuses on his own work rather than trying to undermine others.
“Certain man will move like that. You do your own thing, go on with it, run it. I pray that your thing goes good, my thing will go good for me too. That’s all I do. I don’t try to cross people,” he stated.
Stonebwoy added that, as an “insider” in the industry, he is privy to details the public will never know, a statement that has only fuelled speculation about the targets of his comments.
