BABA SADIQ REPORTS STONEBWOY TO POLICE FOR ALLEGEDLY THREATENING HIM AMID STONEBWOY’S DEFAMATION LAWSUIT AGAINST HIM

New information reaching our news desks reveals that Ghanaian Reggae and Dancehall musician, Stonebwoy has been reported to the police for questioning for allegedly threatening politician and businessman, Baba Sadiq.

The complaint, lodged on June 7, 2024, details allegations of threats made against Sadiq and his wife by the musician, following a disagreement over Sadiq’s support for King Promise ahead of the 25th TGMAs, which took place on June 1, 2024.

As reported earlier, Stonebwoy asked the court to order Baba Sadiq to delete and render an unqualified apology to him following his defamatory posts in a writ filed in the High Court of Justice on May 31, 2024.

The Bhim Nation boss, who is unhappy about Sadiq’s X posts about him, hauled him to court.

In a statement filed by Baba Sadiq Abdulai, he told the Police that he received a call from Stonebwoy on May 15, 2024, complaining about his utterances on social media and wanting to know if Baba Sadiq was happy with what was going on social media because of his posts about who rightly deserves to win ‘Artiste of the Year’ at TGMA 2024 but before he could explain himself to Stonebwoy, Stonebwoy urged him to keep the same energy when they meet in person.

He also accused Stonebwoy’s management assaulting an acquaintance and team member of King Promise during the rehearsals at TGMA on May 31, 2024.

According to the 3Music Awards founder, from the singer’s tone and reputation, he found his statement very threatening to him.

To this effect, Stonebwoy has been asked to report to the Mile 7 Police Station on Monday morning between the hours of 10 am to 12 noon. The report was made yesterday.
