STONEBWOY’S BHIM FESTIVAL RESCHEDULES TO AVOID DATE CONFLICT WITH BLACK STAR EXPERIENCE

The 10th-anniversary edition of the festival will now be held on December 24, 2025

The highly anticipated 10th-anniversary edition of the BHIM Festival, headlined by dancehall star Stonebwoy, has been officially rescheduled. Organizers, Burniton Music Group (BMG), announced on Sunday, November 9, that the event will now take place on Wednesday, December 24, 2025, moving from its original date of Friday, December 26.

According to a press statement from the BHIM Festival Secretariat, the decision was made “out of respect for… our wonderful patrons” to ensure optimal “security, crowd safety, traffic management, parking convenience, and maximum support from critical public services.”

The primary reason for the shift is a direct scheduling conflict with another major event. The statement reveals that the organizers of the Black Star Experience recently moved their “Taste the Culture” event to December 26th. With its venue situated directly behind the Accra Sports Stadium—the home of the BHIM Festival the prospect of two massive events occurring simultaneously raised significant safety and logistical concerns.

The BHIM Festival Secretariat disclosed that they engaged in “behind-the-scenes discussions” urging the Black Star Experience organizers to revert to their original date. “Since this request was declined,” the statement read, “we have, despite the hefty financial implications… resolved to reschedule our event in the best interest and safety of our patrons.”

The organizers expressed gratitude to the Ghana Tourism Authority for its support in securing the Accra Sports Stadium for the new date amidst the busy festive season. They also apologized to patrons for any inconvenience caused, confirming that all previously purchased tickets remain valid for the December 24th event.

This rescheduling highlights the intense competition and logistical challenges within Ghana’s crowded “December in GH” festivities calendar, underscoring the critical need for coordination to ensure public safety and a high-quality experience for event-goers.
