Minister for Defence, Dr. Edward Omane Boamah, has urged the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Presidential Candidate for the 2024 elections, Omane Boamah Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, to accept accountability for his role in the party’s significant loss in the elections.
He believes it is quite hypocritical for Dr. Bawumia to continue blaming the party’s loss in the 2024 elections on outside factors while avoiding any responsibility himself.
In a Facebook post on Sunday, April 27, Dr. Omane Boamah refuted these allegations, accusing Dr. Bawumia of shifting blame.
“Elections 2024: Bawumia is blaming everything & everybody EXCEPT HIMSELF. Bawumia was critical of the NPP’s economic mess!” Dr. Boamah wrote.
Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia confessing that hardship in the country, arrogance displayed by the government, e-levy, the debt restructuring program and the lack of reshuffling of ministerial portfolios caused the NPP’s defeat.
