STOP THIS FOOLISHNESS – Blakk Rasta Blasts Wayoosi And Celebrities Following Politicians For Money

Reggae musician and political pundit Blakk Rasta has voiced his disapproval of Kumawood actor Joseph Osei, popularly known as Wayoosi, for switching his political allegiance from the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to the National Democratic Congress (NDC).

Speaking on his ‘Black Pot’ show on Accra-based 3FM on 17 July 2024, Blakk Rasta criticized Wayoosi for his reasons behind supporting politicians, stating that it was driven by personal gain rather than the welfare of his constituency.

“When you live in a country where people follow politicians in order to eat, it is a shame.

“Listen to what Wayoosi is saying. So you went and supported him to win elections. For that matter, you expect that he would always have time to talk to you? It is all about me me me. We have to stop this foolishness.

“You followed NAPO and helped him win. Why did you do that? For you to be able to eat or for him to be able to help the people of his constituency? It is sad that we still have those people,” he said.

He further warned celebrities who openly support politicians for personal gain, predicting that they would eventually face consequences.

Blakk Rasta urged them to support political figures discreetly and focus on the broader impact on the people rather than their personal benefits.

“And all the so-called celebrities who are running after politicians, your day will come. You guys will suffer.

“You can support whoever you want to support, but make it discreet.

“You come out flatly and support ABCD and FJDEV and at the end of the day you come back to us and tell us you supported them and they did not help you. Is it about you? It’s about the people,” he added.
