Ghanaian TV personality and businesswoman Deloris Frimpong Manso popularly known as Delay had imparted some sage advice to the younger generation.
Delay addressed a group of young people at a forum, encouraging them to put in effort and earn their own income. Delay stated that women who engage in relationships with married men won’t necessarily achieve success. She stated that achieving success is not achieved through sexual activities and that having relationships with successful individuals is unproductive.
Delay is a highly successful female entrepreneur in Ghana. Although she has achieved success, there are still some individuals who believe she is lacking because she is not married.
Recently, she responded to critics who always push her to marry and have children, wondering how that advice would improve their lives.
“The people who are constantly writing under my posts to get married and make babies, I want to understand how that will improve on their lives. It doesn’t make sense to me. I don’t bother myself with other people’s lives like that oo,” she stated.
Delay’s comments bring attention to a frequent problem encountered by public figures, especially women, who frequently deal with societal expectations to adhere to conventional roles like marriage and motherhood.
