Former striker of Accra Hearts of Oak, Charles Taylor has opposed the call by some Ghanaians for the inclusion of midfielder, Sulley Muntari in the national team, Black Stars ahead of their all important World Cup qualifier match against th e Super Eagles of Nigeria.
In an interview on Angel TV monitored by Ghbase.com, after he appeared as a panel for a sports show, Charles Taylor opined that Sulley Muntari is not a material for Ghana Black Stars.
In his opinion, Ghana’s senior national team needs serious players for the vital World Cup Playoff against Nigeria, and the present Hearts of Oaks number 10 is not one of those players.
He encouraged the 37-year-old midfielder to concentrate on his career at Hearts of Oaks for the time being, and if he improves his fitness, he might receive a call-up to the Ghana national team if the country qualifies for the World Cup.
