Vice President, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia faced yet another awkward moment as he was met with boos from some residents of Teshie in Accra during the inauguration of a newly constructed artificial pitch in the area.
The facility, a collaborative effort between the former Member of Parliament of Ledzokuku, Bernard Okoe-Boye, and the Ghana Gas company, was unveiled on Saturday, September 30, 2023.
Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, who attended as the guest of honor, encountered a challenging reception as his arrival prompted disapproving jeers from the crowd, expressing their dissatisfaction with him and his government.
A video circulating on social media captures a group of onlookers chanting against President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia.
Among the chants was a particular song which translates as “Nana Akuffo Addo, we are dying, but have u seen your bald head, we will slap on it.”
