The former Vice President and 2024 presidential candidate for the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, has promised that those who were dismissed will be prioritised for job opportunities if the NPP regains power.
Speaking to party supporters at a Thank You Tour event in Takoradi on Saturday (26 April), Dr. Bawumia recognised the financial difficulties that numerous Ghanaians are experiencing, especially individuals who have recently been unemployed.
“I know how it feels to lose your job, your daily bread,” he said, assuring the crowd that the NPP would prioritise their needs. “We recognise the sacrifices you have made, and we are committed to restoring your livelihoods.”
Dr. Bawumia indicated that a future NPP administration would implement focused job creation programs designed to assist those hit hardest by the recent economic difficulties.
“I assure you that in the next NPP administration, you will be prioritised for jobs,” he promised, drawing applause from the gathered supporters.
