JOHN DUMELO AND FIVE OTHERS APPROVED AS DEPUTY MINISTERS
Parliament has approved the first set of deputy ministers after a detailed review by the Appointments Committee.
The candidates were questioned on Wednesday, February 26, 2025, and then received approval from Parliament.
Among the approved deputies is well-known actor John Dumelo, now Deputy Minister for Food and Agriculture. His appointment has attracted attention due to his significant involvement in farming and agribusiness.
Other approved deputies include Thomas Ampem Nyarko for Finance, Ebenezer Terlabi for Interior, Samson Ahi for Trade, Agribusiness, and Industry, Clement Apaak for Education, and Richard Gyan Mensah for Energy.
These approvals demonstrate the government’s focus on appointing capable individuals to key roles to assist with ministerial duties and support national development.
