A report received by NKONKONSA.com has verified that Nhyira Marfo Okyere, a vocalist and co-founder of the successful Ghanaian gospel band Team Eternity, has died.
During an interview with GhanaWeb, blogger Zhikay Ikejunior, who first shared the news on his Facebook page, verified the death.
According to Zhikay, a close associate of the team, Nhyira is said to have passed away late on Wednesday, August 7, 2024, around midnight. Despite the fact that the reason for the death is still unclear.
Even though it has been confirmed, there hasn’t been any official statement from the family or Team Eternity.
Her final public appearance was at an event on Sunday, August 4, 2024, which is now considered her last official act.
The gospel community is anticipating more information and an official announcement from either the team or the family.
