TEXAS MAN SENTENCED TO 10 YEARS FOR FATALLY SHOOTING WIFE OVER ALLEGED INFIDELITY
Video evidence shows husband telling wife she would “meet Jesus” before opening fire

A Texas man, Carey Birmingham, aged 60, has been sentenced to 10 years in prison for fatally shooting his wife, Patricia Birmingham, after discovering she was having an affair.
According to ABC 13 and court documents, the tragic incident occurred in December 2021 outside the couple’s home in Spring, Texas.
Prosecutors revealed that the couple engaged in a heated 30-minute argument before the shooting. Video footage captured Birmingham confronting his wife and saying she was going to “meet Jesus” moments before he shot her three times in the head, killing her instantly.
In the same recording, Birmingham was heard saying, “I hope it was worth it. I’m done, I’m f**ing done.”*
Authorities said the act was triggered by jealousy and rage after Birmingham discovered his wife’s infidelity. The video evidence was central to the prosecution’s case.
Birmingham later pleaded guilty to murder before an all-women jury, his defense attorney Anthony Osso confirmed. The defense argued that the crime was committed “in the heat of passion”, appealing for leniency due to his emotional distress at the time.
Despite the plea, the court sentenced Birmingham to 10 years imprisonment, describing the act as a “devastating example of domestic violence and emotional loss of control.”
The sentencing brings closure to a case that has drawn widespread attention across Texas, reigniting discussions about domestic violence prevention and emotional instability in relationships.
